Matthew Pires

Matthew Pires is a structural engineer by training, but has a growing passion for helping small businesses in his community and can bring a unique skillset and prospective to your business challenges. Outside of engineering, he previously served as director and president of FSILG Cooperative, Inc for 7 years, guiding the organization through a strategic transformation to find more modern ways to serve their customers now and into the future. For the last five years, he's served as the treasurer of a 501(c)7 non-profit. He's helped the organization navigate through some complex lease agreements and developed and implemented fiscal policies that have stabilized their finances and generated growth in revenue and membership. Matthew has his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Structural Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and possesses over 10+ years of experience solving complex problems and managing sophisticated projects. Matt is an avid runner and skier and volunteers in the winter with YES Boston to help kids develop confidence and experience downhill skiing.
